2009 Junior Tour North

The Maplewood Golf Club in Bethlehem proudly announces its fifth year of sponsorship of the NHPGA Junior Tour North. 2009 marks the 16th season for the Junior Tour, our region's only competitive outlet for advanced junior players. We have a ten-tournament schedule that visits the top clubs in northern NH.
We have added a pre-season event at The Maplewood, which includes a preseason scramble for fun to help the young golfers shake off some of the rust before tournament play begins the following week. The only requirement for this initial event is to register for the tour at this time.
The Tour is open for junior golfers in two age brackets, 12-14, 15-17. The 12-14 age group will always play 9 holes; the 15-17 age group will play 18 unless noted in the schedule. There are separate boys and girls divisions (if enough girls are present). All players must have the ability to score 60 or less for 9 holes and play in 2 hours or less carrying one's own bag or using a pull cart. All players must sign and abide by the NHPGA Junior Tour North's Code of Conduct with regard to rules, etiquette, and scoring. Golf shirts with collars, no jeans, and NO metal spikes constitute the Tour's dress code.
There is a one-time per season Tour Membership fee of $15.00. This is the only fee required for the preseason event at The Maplewood. Each tournament has a $5.00 entry fee, which is used for the prize pool – usually golf balls and a trophy to the tournament winner and runner up. NO PRE-SEASON RESGISTRATION IS NECESSARY but all players should be at the registration table at least one half hour before the first scheduled tee time. Pairings are made on the day of the tournament. The time listed on the schedule is the tee time for the first group out. The 15 – 17 year old age group is always first out for pace of play reasons. The final regular season event at The Maplewood features a post tournament cookout and awards ceremony that is free of charge to Tour players.
